Puppy Introduction

Puppy Introductions are available to puppies 5 months old or younger.
The best time to start your puppy’s grooming journey is shortly after their second round of vaccines, usually around 10–12 weeks. Grooming is a lifelong routine, and keeping your pup on a regular schedule helps make every visit a positive, stress-free experience for both you and your pup!

Most puppies benefit from 1–2 Puppy Introductions before their first full haircut. Schedule these every 2–4 weeks for the best results, then transition to a monthly schedule to maintain confidence-building routines — and take advantage of our recurring appointment discount!

What could raise my rate?

Light tangles may be gently brushed out, while severe matting may require clipping for your dog’s comfort and safety. For long-haired shedding breeds, excessive or impacted undercoat will be removed thoughtfully; in some cases, multiple appointments may be recommended to ensure your pet’s comfort.

Haircuts over 1" or requiring detailed hand scissoring or hand-stripping take extra time to achieve a balanced, beautiful result.

Dogs with more complex or challenging coat types may require additional time and may be priced accordingly. If we’re working together on behavior modification, we’ll customize scheduling and pricing to support your dog’s progress.

When grooming intervals extend beyond our recommended schedule—or when excessive coat buildup is present—additional time may be required to ensure your dog can be groomed safely and thoroughly, and pricing may be adjusted accordingly.
